Elite Staffing & Consulting is seeking a talented Software Engineer and Senior Software Support Engineer. In these positions you will be a member of the team that implements and supports our products. The Software Engineer will profide Level 2 support while the Senior level Engineer will provide Level 2 & 3 technical support (via telephone and internet) for the company's clients located throughout the United States. Both Software and Senior-level Software Support Engineers, will have primary responsibilies for all aspects of providing technical support, resolving integration issues, as well as providing consultative integration support to new and existing clients.

Job Description

You must have very good communications skills - both verbal and written – with the ability to effectively communicate ideas and describe problems and solutions. Critical thinking, reasoning, and problem solving ability is an essential part of this position. You must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

 

Specific duties include but are not limited to the following:

· Respond to client communications requesting technical support on
company's solution (via both phone & email);
· Investigate reported system failures, and take actions to resolve;
· Assist clients with defining integration specifications between
client systems and the company hosted solution.

Required qualifications:

· B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
· Solid experience writing production code in Java and .NET
· Experience with SOAP web services
· Customer oriented with excellent communication skills
· Strong problem skills
· Ability to be “on-call” to respond to after-hours technical issues

Senior Engineer/Advanced Technical Engineer--Pittsburgh,PA

Summary

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions The successful will be an essential member of the New Generation Power Projects group, which focuses primarily on new construction power plants. The candidate should have strong project management skills, as well as good understanding of power plant control philosophies. Major responsibilities will include providing technical leadership to the group on power plant applications. The successful candidate should have good communication skills since they will represent the group at both internal and external meetings.

This position requires a bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent and a minimum of five years related experience.

Project travel is required for the position-10% to 20%.
