 BS Degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering or other relevant field or equivalent combination of training and experienceTwo years in developing financial systems, database support and operations experience with transactional databasesDemonstrated skills in usage of SQL, PL/SQL, financial software and scripting languages within Solaris (UNIX) and Windows environmentExperienced using essential command languages, including high-level languages such as C, C++, Perl and/or Java and in maintaining complex programs; software portability and maintenance spanning multiple hardware platforms and operating systems, especially Solaris and Linux.Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills. Clear and effective communications with systems users, especially in remote locales using telephone and/or e-mail; able to give, understand and follow directions. Ability to comprehend financial system and application related materials; design and maintain related applications Ability to travel locally to attend meetings, lift and carry computer hardware, plug and unplug components, and rearrange cabling and external devices. Able to lift and cart items weighing up to 40 pounds. Usual office setting; close contact with keyboard, CRT and/or telephone for prolonged periods.. Ability to work under pressure; to politely and professionally answer questions and provide information/ pay attention to detail; independently perform tasks and carry them through to completion; meet inflexible deadlines; deal with difficult people while maintaining composure required.
