Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

• Direct the assigned project resources in performing the work of project kickoff, development of engineering solutions, ordering of hardware, work breakdown structure, implementation execution, through a successful FAT and commissioning.

• Provide technical direction to the project staff in specifcations and design requirements/criteria and implementation/execution of project scope of work and schedule.
• Direct and control the interaction of Power & Water Solutions personnel with subcontractors and other project contractors to ensure specifications are met.
• Implement cost effective EPC project tracking and execution procedures for the other Water project teams.
• Interact with Product Development for specifc development needs on Water/Wastewater projects.
• Develop the technical responses to customer requests for proposals.

• Develop project execution requirements and cost justification. Develop resource allocation plans.
• Investigate and develop new/improved technical products, services, and designs for business growth opportunities. Present recommendations to management.
• Control the delivered projects costs to within +/-2% of as-booked costs.
• Departmental activities to include: Management of multiple on-site projects; technical coaching of assigned personnel; responsibility for key project accountabilities; prepare complex, innovative documents and technical descriptions for proposals on new and existing products/services; maintain a high degree of technical expertise and recognition within the business unit as an expert in the area of specialization.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

The position requires a B.S. in Engineering and a minimum of seven years direct experience with all aspects of Ovation (preferred) hardware and sofware projects engineering. Proven technical project coordination and people leadership skills; expertise in I&C system design, testing and startup; development and implementation of logic, control, and process graphics. Excellent communication interpersonal, and coordination skills.

*Position requires 30% travel.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

-C/C++ Programming
-Programming experience for embedded real-time systems
-Knowlege of socket level network programming
-Specific development experience in an RTOS environment
-Writing design documents, specifications and user documentation
-Knowlege of Microsoft WIN32 programming
-Knowlege of the Ovation product line
- Technical support for controller and I/O issues in-house and in the field
- Programming along with the development of the associated design and user documentation

Position requires a BS in Electrical Engineering or a BS in Computer Engineering or the equivilant along with a minimum of two years related experience is required.

Position requires 10% travel.
