Operations Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Overview

Primary purpose of this position is to provide support to customers regarding setup and configuration of hospitals, clinics and physicians for voice recognition in medical transcription. Additionally, this person will perform tests on those configurations as they are released and updated. This person will also run reports on a regular basis – some for distribution and some for internal analysis which this person will perform.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Other duties may be assigned.
• Receive and respond to customer inquiries regarding configurations, document models and speech models.
• Use tools for documenting questions and resolutions.
• Prioritize customer inquiries.
• Break customer questions into component parts, research answers with appropriate team members and collect answers and action items.
• Communicate with customers answers and schedules for changes resulting from their inquiries.
• Run and write scripts that automate end-to-end testing process.
• Analyze results of above end-to-end testing processes and communicate results and problems internally
• Generate weekly productivity reports for internal use, including graphs for communication purposes.
• Analyze and communicate report results internally.
• Run and analyze reports for customers that show MT edit patterns.
• Communicate with customers suggestions for improved productivity based on report results.

COMPETENCIES

-Communication Skills – excellent verbal and written
-Basic Script writing and maintenance
-Analytical skills – ability to correlate data, find patterns, etc
-Customer management

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

-Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university.
-Experience with software applications and testing.
-3 to 5 years technical support in the software industry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve problems, find answers to questions via team members and communicate findings in a clear and concise manner. Ability to review data in reports, seeking patterns and correlations.
