Development Team and Marketing Team to develop and implement web initiatives and related technical projects. Must be able to translate business needs into effective technical solutions using core eBusiness and web capabilities and other state of the art technologies; Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of web presentation and delivery systems and integration with the company’s E-Commerce business applications; Must have the ability to support a high-available environment.

Job Description

The Web Content Engineer (Interwoven)... Designs and architects corporate web Content Management solution – Integrates static and dynamic product content with eCommerce application engine; Develops web skins and themes to be deployed via web portal; Improves business processes by collaborating with customers, colleagues, and other functional teams.

 

  • Produces detailed functional specifications, requirements analysis, design specifications, proposals, statements of work and work estimates; Develops project plans.
  • Diagnose technical issues; Manages communication between internal customers and various functional groups; Provides technical consultation to other IS groups and junior content
  • specialists; Participates in vendor evaluations and provides recommendations.
  • Provide technical leadership in designing, modifying,developing, and implementing large scale, complex mission-critical e-content applications requiring high availability across multiple environments;
  • Create and comply with internal and external standards definitions and best practices for content management; Establish industry best e-Content offering by enhancing the Internet architecture to support business requirements including global expansion and domestic growth.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies in support of all major business and IT initiatives; Produce detailed functional specifications, requirements analysis, design specifications,
  • proposals, statements of work and work estimates; Meet or exceed the company IS&S SLA requirements.

Required Skills:

  • Web Content Engineer/Interwoven TeamSite Developer must have superior Internet and Web Content Management expertise. Must have superior Interwoven expertise, must know Content Management Best practices and be up to date on the very latest XML and CCS and related specifications.
  • Prior experience with and detailed knowledge of CMS systems including content types, content modeling, templates, etc.;
  • Should be comfortable doing needs / requirements analysis and
  • recommending cost effective and justifiable solutions;experience with interwoven architectures and complete application development lifecycle- WML and Unix -working knowledge of UML modeling techniques, JDBC, SQL and RDBMS preferred.
  • Knowledge of latest content management specifications- must be up-to-date on all new CSS standards and specs; Should be able to install, configure performance tune, optimize, cluster, and troubleshoot Interwoven enabled portal content delivery and Opendeploy; Performance tuning expertise with Interwoven templates and workflow; demonstrated commitment to total quality and the process of continuous improvement.
  • Experience with HTML, XHTML, JSP,JavaScript, CGI, Perl, XML, XSLT required. Experience implementing or integrating with a catalog management system and an application portal(Websphere) in an eCommerce environment preferred
  • Familiarity with J2EE architectures, design patterns, and complete application development lifecycle; working knowledge of J2EE, EJB, JMS, JSP, and Java Servlets, ANT.
  • Application Servers (preferably BEA Weblogic and/or IBM Websphere), Unix; and UML modeling techniques preferred; understanding of Java development methodologies, frameworks and SDLC processes: RUP-Rational Unified Process, EAI (webMethods), change management (Harvest), etc.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities; Performance tuning, including web activity analysis and testing (Hitbox, Keynote, Empirix, Mercury); Ideally versed in
  • installation, configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting of a clustered Content Management server environment; Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with different levels of management, as well as both business and technical departments. Detail oriented. Strong project/time management skills; Solid understanding of diverse environments and components - mainframe, Unix, Windows, database, networks, etc.
