Sr. Software Performance Engineer

Duties:

Running industrial standard/modified benchmarks and analyze performance data. Collect system and application performance related statistic data with tools and discover performance problem and using trace/profiling tool to drill down for the details. Main focus is on Linux (Both Red Hat & SuSe) OS on IBM Power PC servers. Writing performance evaluation project status and reports are required.

Skills:

Excellent communication and team work skills are a must for this job. Hands on experience with Linux systems and servers, measurement techniques, performance evaluation, and performance analysis are also required. Experience with performance profiling tools, and trace generation is desirable. Familiarity with storage and server management products as well as OS, and platform expertise is a plus.

Education:

A B.S. in Computer Science or a similar field with a minimum of 6 years of performance engineering experience.
